What to Wear

A Night at the Opera: the Origins of an Outfit

OK, actually The Phantom of the Opera, but a night out either way! I’m a huuuuge fan of musicals and try to see as many as I can when they come to OKC. I saw Phantom the last time I was in New York, but this performance may have been even better! Way to go Civic Center! At an event like this you’ll pretty much see attire ranging from jeans and t-shirts to formal gowns. And with a range like that, it’s the perfect time to experiment with some fun looks!

I picked up this skirt on my Europe trip and have been dying for a chance to wear it!

With a pencil skirt fit underneath and the flowy tulle above I knew I wanted something fitted on top. I tried a few but settled on this mint top I picked up from The Limited a few months back.

With the addition of a comfy (really!) pair of Vince Camuto pumps and my favorite black bag, I was about to finish the outfit with a pair of big (faux) diamond studs when I remembered the necklace that just came in my last Coco Rocha Fancy Box. The perfect touch!
