I thought since I’ve been a little absent over the past month or so I should probably give you a little more information on this big project I keep mentioning that’s been keeping me from JK Style (and Splendry, and cleaning my house, cooking, pretty much everything!) It’s not another movie to style or a fabulous fashion project that’s keeping me tied up. So what is it?
I’m pregnant!
I KNOW. I’m still freaking out!
While my first trimester was nothing to complain about, the ONE thing that made me feel sick was working! I’m guessing the computer caused some car sickness-like feelings so while I tried for a few weeks to work in small increments (usually followed by having to go to bed immediately for a few hours) over the last couple of weeks I quit fighting it and just let things sit for a bit! (I’m very thankful for the ability to reschedule older posts!)

Now that I’ve hit the second trimester I’m feeling MUCH better about working and now have some energy back too! Now I need to get caught back up and then try to stay on track (and even get ahead) as I prepare for this baby’s arrival in December! (My due date is the 22nd.) While I definitely plan to keep working on both websites, I’m going to try to cut myself a little slack over the coming months. Posts might not be scheduled five times a week, newsletters might be a bit more sporadic, and my Instagram account might go untouched for weeks at a time. And that’s OK! I’m trying to let myself rest when I need it and I’m also tackling a major house clean-out/make-room-for-a-baby project! I hope you’ll bear with me while I adjust to things and this newfound exhaustion. :)
Obviously I’ll be sharing more about this pregnancy over the coming months (hello maternity style!) but if babies and pregnancy aren’t your thing, no worries, I promise not to turn this blog into a total baby fest/mom blog. There are plenty of those out there already and I just want to talk about clothes! And shoes! And makeup! (Baby Reed I promise your mom isn’t completely vain and does have other interests in life!) ;)
Thanks for hanging in there with me and I’m excited to see what’s in store for the rest of the year!
Wow! Congratulations!
Oh my goodness!!! So excited for you guys!!
