Happy Tuesday! Before we get to my birthday recap I want to make sure I remind you about an event I’m hosting this Thursday evening (1/26) in OKC! There is a “Kendra Gives Back” shopping event happening Thursday from 6-8 PM at Kendra Scott in Classen Curve where 20% of sales will go to benefit Heartbeat for Hope! If you happen to be in the area, PLEASE come by and see me! I’m a little nervous I’ll be there all by myself! (The Heartbeat for Hope team is currently in Africa!) Please come shop, have some sips and sweets and support a really great cause. And if you aren’t able to visit that evening I believe you can call the store and place an order too!
And now, back to my birthday. While my typical birthday plans involve shopping and maybe a hair cut this year I opted for something totally different. I started the day at Science Museum Oklahoma. Why? Why not! I went a few years ago with some friends for my friend Abby’s 30th birthday and we had fun so I figured it was worth repeating. I invited my parents and my brother and his family and we had fun checking all the exhibits. The museum has changed SO MUCH since I was a kid and it’s definitely worth checking out, even if you don’t have kids with you!
We had a late lunch at Chick-fil-a and then my parents joined Brent and I and a couple of friends for an escape room. We didn’t make it out (got so close!) but it was fun! If you haven’t tried an escape room before I highly recommend trying it, they’re really fun! I rounded out the weekend with presents on Sunday and then a trip to Dallas with my mom for some shopping on Monday/Tuesday, but more on that later!
After Dallas I spent a week or so coughing, sneezing and sleeping, but now that that’s behind me I feel like it’s going to be a great year!
