After anxiously awaiting its arrival I finally have the newly revamped and renamed fall Curateur box in my hands! This box used to be known as The Rachel Zoe Box of Style, and while I don’t know why they changed the name (Rachel still curates it), it looks to be the same great quality I’ve come to expect.
I was expecting this box to ship in September but due to life as we currently know it, shipping was a little behind and it just arrived this week. Hey, if the winter box ships on time I won’t have to wait as long, right? :)
Let’s take a closer look the fall Curateur box!
First, the info booklet is now magazine sized and full of great info, including a letter from Rachel on why she made these changes to her subscription box (basically it’s just getting an upgrade!). There’s a new assortment of brands and product categories (home decor, fashion, beauty, etc.), and special products just for subscribers.
Here’s what came in my Fall Curateur Box
Rachel Zoe Collection Tote ($115 value)
I really love this bag! One of the things I enjoy most about this box is that often I’ve received really beautiful bags that are usually worth more what I paid for the total box! This beautiful vegan leather bag is such a gorgeous shade of deep burgundy (Bordeaux, to be exact.) and I know I’ll love carrying it every fall and winter. It’s also big enough to carry a laptop which is great.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Glow in Perla ($25 value)
Ever since I was introduced to their brow products I’ve been a fan of this brand. This liquid highlighter is light and clean and gives a gorgeous finish.
Kat Burki Form Control Marine Collagen Gel ($160 value)
There was a separate note included in the box saying that there were issues with getting this product in on time so it will be shipping separately. This is a clean, hydrating formula and it’s supposed to help with uneven skin tone and fine lines – I’ll definitely take that! This is meant to be used after cleansing and before applying your regular moisturizer and SPF.
Eddie Borgo Supra Link Collar Necklace ($350 value)
Yes, you read that correctly, this necklace is valued at $350. Whoa! I can’t think of a more timeless necklace that I know I’ll wear for years and years. It’s great on its own, but also will be great for layering with other more delicate pieces.
Le Specs Neptune Sunglasses ($89 value, choice item)
This was one of the “choice items” in the box. Each box you are able to choose between two items – either different colors/patterns or just just different items entirely. After loving my sunglasses from this box, I thought I’d give these a try! The gold wire frames are pretty timeless and the style works with many face shapes.
Eddie Borgo Supra Link Earrings ($195 value choice item) – This is item I did not choose. It was honestly a tough decision, these are really pretty too!
One of the perks of being a subscriber is also having access to the Curateur Shoppe, filled with gorgeous accessories, home items, etc. Sometimes they will have past box items listed at a deep discount. I saw they were offering the last pair of sunglasses I loved so much at a great price so I bought a second pair! Yes, I still have the first, but they’ve quickly become my favorites and I don’t want to be upset when I eventually lose/break them! :)
The total value of the Fall Curateur box for me was $739, which is pretty phenomenal. (It would have been $809 had I gone with the earrings instead of the sunglasses!)
I’ve been very happy with my subscription and love how easy it is to choose my “choice item” and make changes to my account. If I want to skip a box, I can do it easily from my profile. This box does run more expensive than some others I’ve tried at $99 a box (it comes quarterly). Still a fraction of what the value is that you receive though!
