When Brent and I first got married he hated to travel. When I say hated to travel, I mean it took months to talk him into going to Dallas for the first time for a weekend getaway where we immediately had car trouble when we arrived and had to use the hotel shuttle the entire weekend, plus shell out a nice chunk of change for the car. Good times. Fortunately he let me drag him to a few other places (Europe, twice!) and now, dare I say, he has the travel bug! His latest vacation idea? A roadtrip! He wants us to fly to California and then drive up the coast to Portland and Seattle before we fly back home. I haven’t spent any time in the Pacific Northwest and think this sounds like an amazing road trip!
ModCloth (one of my favorite online shopping destinations) has put together some road-tripping looks and while I was excited about the possibility of this trip before, it’s now safe to say I’m hooked on the idea! I’m picturing us driving down the coast in a rented convertible, music up while we sing along and stopping occasionally for photo opportunities. (In reality we’ll probably be in something like a Honda, listening to podcasts and stopping at every In-N-Out Burger along the way). :) Regardless, I’ll be sporting some romantic road trip style!
Easy (and comfortable!) with sandals and a cardigan or jacket for an always-cold car!
I live for maxi dresses in the summertime! I’m in love with this ombre look!
And this gorgeous green skirt would pair well with a tank or tee in the car or a dressier top for a nicer dinner that I’m sure I’ll insist upon!
Of course I’ll want to take a little piece of home with me! (My family owns a honey company, just FYI!) I’m always picking up honeycomb items when I see them!
And a bag that pulls double duty is of course needed! It’s stylish enough for any outfit, PLUS able to hold all road trip accessories! (namely, snacks!)
Go on, take a look at these clothes and tell me you’re not ready for a romantic road trip??
