I’ve been dying to get this review up, and am so glad today’s the day! I’m going to share my honest SheIn review on a recent order and let you know what I thought and if I kept anything.
If you’re not familiar with SheIn (you can see one of my past reviews here), they’re an online retailer known for their trendy items and super cheap prices. Likely you’ve seen an ad or two (or ten) on Facebook and wondered if their prices were too good to be true. (I’m kind of on a roll with that!)
I thought I’d place a small order and review the pieces I received, since it’s been several years since I’ve ordered from them. First, here are a few things to know about ordering from SheIn:
- Shipping is free with orders over $49 – I did the free standard shipping. I placed my order on 10/1 and received my items on 10/10. There are faster shipping options, you just have to pay for them.
- Returns are free – if you make one return (one package, not just one item) in the first 40 days it’s free. For each additional return or after that time there is a charge.
- The reviews and size charts are very helpful here!
- There’s always a discount or coupon code to use – do a Google search if you don’t have one!
Probably the most important thing to remember is that these clothes are cheap. The quality varies from item to item, so while you shouldn’t expect to pass something you buy down to your granddaughter, I do have several pieces from them that have held up really well over the several years I’ve had them.
With the free shipping on orders over $49 and free returns, you really don’t have much to lose. I figured I’d ordered some items and see how it went! Here’s what I ordered.

My Honest SheIn Review
1. Pocket Front Waterfall Coat ($25)
I thought this might be a good go-to lightweight jacket this fall. Normally I would have thought I’d wear a small or medium in this and I went ahead and ordered a medium (even though many reviews said to order a size down, my mistake). I felt like it was a little too big and just wasn’t a fan of all that material.
This felt like a heavier felt fabric. Definitely felt on the “cheap” side (which it was!). I had a coupon code so after the discount it was just $22.50. Had it been a little smaller or less material-y (do you like that word?), I might have kept it.
Verdict: Returned
2. Fold Pleat Belted Palazzo Pants ($17.00)
I added these to my cart at the last minute. Being on clearance and with the discount code they only came to $12.24, which I thought was pretty great if they worked out.
Which they didn’t. If the jacket was a little too big, these pants were too small. I went back and forth with the size chart and ended up ordering a medium but I think a large, or even an extra large would have worked better. From the side I thought they looked OK, from the front, not so much.

Really I think ordering up a size would have made all the difference. I still think these are cute pants and I’d actually consider ordering them again. This time maybe in the burgundy color!
Verdict: Returned
3. Cheetah Print Elastic Waist Pleated Skirt ($17.00)
I’m still on that animal print kick and this skirt seemed like a good way to try it out! Especially with the $15.30 price tag (my price after the discount code).
I was pleased to find that this skirt was pretty great quality. The pleating is done nicely and while it’s a little longer than I expected, (I assumed it would be closer to a midi skirt, this is closer to a maxi) I actually like the length a lot. This also comes in a leopard print too, if you prefer that over the cheetah.
It’s not lined, so a slip will be needed, which I always wear with skirts anyway, but I think this is a piece I can style in a lot of ways this fall and winter. In fact, I think I’ll plan a “1 Item, 5 Ways” post around it for next week!
Verdict: Kept!
I wore it to church yesterday and know I’ll be wearing it a lot this fall!
Overall I was happy with this order. I took the quick steps to start the return process, printed my return label and popped the jacket and pants back in the mail. I’d definitely order from them again knowing it’s pretty low-risk.
In fact, I’ve already got my eye on a few more things:
If I were to buy all of that my total comes to $80. With a coupon code I just found online, it’s down to $64.19. Not too bad for a dress, a trench coat, a sweater, and a pair of shoes! I think SheIn and I are going to be friends. :)
