It’s been over a decade now that I had the opportunity to spend a semester in Europe during college. It was by far one of the best times of my life and so much of my time there shaped a lot of who I am today.
Aside from independence, confidence, blah, blah, etc., my time in Europe really shaped my fashion sense. And one of the best places I found to experiment with my new found sense of style as a broke college student was H&M. I can not tell you how many times a week I visited H&M in Europe. Every time I entered I found something I just had to have and with their insanely great prices it was easy to try out the latest trends without making a big investment.
I kid you not, I have been waiting for H&M to launch an online store for years. YEARS. They finally opened stores in the Dallas area in the last couple of years and I always check it out when I’m in NYC, but now I can FINALLY shop online!
I thought I’d show you a few of my favorite pieces from their online store, which now also includes goods for your home!
I wear a lot of jackets and they have some great ones all under $50.
Both of these jackets would look great over dresses or with jeans and heels. Very versatile.
The jacket on the left is $39.95, the one on the right, $49.95.
I also really love this imitation leather skirt ($24.95). I think this could be really fun for early fall with a cute top and heels and carry on into the winter with tights and ankle boots.
This is the perfect sweatshirt to throw on when you want to be comfortable but still look really cute. I love the lace detail around the collar and sleeves. And the color screams “fall” to me. At under $25 you’re not making a huge investment but still could incorporate this into many looks. Try it tucked into a pencil skirt or with jeans and boots.
I was really excited to see a home section on the website. It’s definitely not everyone’s taste (but speaks to mine for sure). Here a random sampling of some fun products for your home.

I could keep going, but just check it out for yourself! Make sure you sign up for their email list, they’ll send you coupons and notify you of sales.
P. S. they have an iPhone app. Oh boy, I’m in trouble now!
It seems like yesterday and a lifetime ago we were finding our way around Europe and finding ourselves while we were at it! I always think of you when I hear of h&m :). I can’t believe it’s finally online!!
Ha it always makes me think of you too! We definitely spent a lot of time there! Miss you and hope to see you next time you’re in town!
