Friday Favorites

Love this? Share it!

I don’t know about you, but this has been a pretty crazy week! I feel like I’ve been all over the place, worked on a million projects, and yet, accomplished nothing. Sounds like a typical week. :) But, it’s Friday now, so that means (hopefully) a little down time! And now, a few things that I’m loving this week:

1. This Oribe Mousse

ORIBE Surfcomber Mousse

I got this in the Allure Sample Society box and tried it out a couple of days ago. AND I LOVE IT. It promises “beach-y” hair (like a dozen other products I’ve tried that have failed) and I was naturally skeptical. But, it actually worked! I had full, wavy hair! And even by the end of the night, I still had lots of texture and my husband commented on my hair looking nice. Win! It’s a little more than the Suave mousse I would pick up from Wal-Mart, but I’d say it’s worth the splurge! Sorry for no pictures, but I’m currently sitting makeup-less on the couch and it’s just not happening.

2. West Elm Local Products
local designers 3I think West Elm featuring products from local designers is fantastic! I’v heard of a few of these companies, but not all, and I’m so impressed with the talent right here in Oklahoma! Each display also featured a little bio of the company/designer, which is so fun! See that tea towel in front by Weather & Noise? I had to buy it! I am, after all, the child of beekeepers!

If you don’t follow Pencil Shavings Studio, you should. Rachel does such fun designs! I love those pink lucite trays, and they’re also selling some of her Washi tape, and pencils (that say fun things like “Hello, Darling”). She also has a fun blog and when I saw her at the preview party Wednesday night I almost walked up to say hi, before I remembered I don’t actually know her.  Oops :)

local designers 4This pillow was definitely in demand at the preview party Wednesday night! Lovewell Handmade has these pillows and some prints and tea towels for sell.
You can also pick up cards, prints, and other fun things from designers like Wednesday, Inc., Passive Juice Motel, Pippen & Pearl (LOVE their prints!), Recipe for Crazy, and Owl and Drum.
If you missed my store pics yesterday, check them out here!

3. This Anthropologie Jacket
After the craziness of the West Elm party last night (so many people!), my sister-in-law and I slipped next door to Anthropologie for a quick look. While I love visiting Anthropologie, I’ve got to say it’s not really my style of clothing for the most part. I did, however, see this jacket that grabbed my attention:

I would style it differently, but I really like it! What do you think? Is it worth the splurge?

I hope you all have a great weekend! See you in a couple of days! As always, if you have any ideas for posts, send them my way!
