Happy Friday to you! I hope you’ve had a great week and that you have a fun weekend ahead! Here is a little roundup of some things I’m loving right now for today’s Friday Favorites:
1. This Bijou Brigitte Necklace
When I lived in Vienna for a semester back in college, I frequented this little jewelry store that was kind of a European equivalent to a Claire’s-type place. I could not for the life of me remember the name of the store before my trip and I was just hoping I would stumble upon it. And I did! There was a Bijou Brigitte right next to my hotel in La Spezia (in Italy) and I saw this necklace right when I walked in the door. And at roughly $27.50 (after converting to US $), I couldn’t pass it up! I know it’s probably a love it/hate it type item and may be a little much for some people, but I’m kind of into taking risks the days. (One of the benefits of being in my 30s, I think!) I’ll let you know when I wear it!
2. Coco Mademoiselle Perfume by Chanel
I tend to gravitate towards really light floral fragrances. I’m not a fan of musky, heavy scents and generally stick to my favorites – DKNY Be Delicious or a slight variation in one of their other similar scents. (Think green apple.) I branched out a little with Kate Spade’s Live Colorfully earlier this year – another floral scent, but I sometimes think I need a slightly more sophisticated scent for special occasions or just to change things up a bit. This Coco Mademoiselle is a little sweet, a little warm, and all kinds of sophisticated. Just smelling it makes me feel a little bit more “grown-up”. It’s not cheap (running at $90) but I think it might be worth the splurge.
3. Arbonne’s Intelligence Genius Resurfacing Pads
I admit, I was skeptical. I’m been fortunate to have pretty good skin due mostly to genetics (thanks for looking young, Mom!) and my affinity for drinking only water so I didn’t think a product like this would be beneficial for me. And it was a little rough at the start. (Literally.) Day 1, I looked like I had a sunburn. I opted to use every other day to let my sensitive skin adjust and that did the trick. Within a week the redness was gone and within another week it was like a new layer of skin had emerged! I’ll be honest, I can’t really say it helped with wrinkles or anything like that since I don’t really have a problem with that yet. But I’ve heard good results from others who have tried it! I will say that the redness I’ve always had around my cheeks and nose has almost disappeared completely and my skin is ultra smooth and soft. I’ve never had a facial, but I would think the results would probably be similar. This is another product that’s not cheap ($95), BUT, considering it lasts me about 3 months (I don’t use every day) it’s about $30/month which is worth it to me! I think I’m sold. Oh, and my sister-in-law, Aubrie, is too. Even, if she doesn’t quite get it…
Anything you’re loving lately? Let me know! I may feature it (and you!) in a future post!
