Shopping

February Finds

I mentioned in last week’s Friday Favorites that I did a little bit of shopping last week while Indy was with my parents for the day. While I left the house with no set agenda and a plan to be gone a few hours at most, I ended up spending a full day out and hit lots of spots I hadn’t visited in a while!

My day started at the Marshalls in Yukon. The first thing I bought? Baby clothes, of course! I didn’t find too many things I wanted to try but grabbed a white and black striped knotted top at the last minute. I didn’t try it on until I got home and it ended up being too short (remember how I have a crazy long torso?).

Next stop? Ulta! I picked up some Urban Decay Vice lipstick in Rock Steady, a gorgeous bold red/pink. It was on 50% off making it only $8.50! They had a lot of shades on sale (and I believe the sale lasts until the end of the month, so check it out!) (There are some shades on sale that are available online too!)

I also picked up a few facial masks as I’m still treating my ultra-dry post-pregnancy skin these days! As I was checking out I realized I hadn’t picked up my birthday gift from Ulta and luckily I had one day left to claim it! The lip oil set will be put to good use!

It was after my trip to Ulta that I decided I wasn’t through shopping for the day, so I decided to head to OKC! I started at Nordstrom rack, where I found several things I wanted to try on!

I ended up buying the kimono (left) and the Michael Kors faux leather pants (right). That cape top almost came home with me, but I have something kind of similar so I just couldn’t justify it at the time. Now, though looking at this picture I kind of wish I had bought it! :)

My next stop was Classen Curve where I stopped into Lily Rain. I hadn’t been in since they opened (I didn’t even know they were there!) but will be making a lot more stops I’m sure!

They’ve got a nice range of brands they carry – from higher end lines like Halston and Trina Turk to less expensive ones meaning there’s a little something for everyone, no matter your budget! They had a nice selection of gifts too – candles, jewelry, and fun odds and ends (kind of similar to the gift selection at Francesca’s). I’ll be visiting again soon!

My next stop was Evereve, where I had a gift card to use! I had fun trying on some things:

I came home with the pink dress (just $29.99!) and leopard jacket, but the dress might be returned. It’s one of those “almost fits great” items, but my body isn’t quite back to pre-baby, so it might not work (they only had one size). I did just see they had additional sizes online, so I might grab it up a size, problem solved! :)

I had to pop into West Elm and Anthropologie since I was in the area:

I thought this sweater dress was pretty!

I ended my day at Target and did a little more baby clothes shopping! One of these days when I can take Indy to church he’ll have some cute stuff to wear! I’m liking the boys selection they have for spring right now!

I can’t remember which one of these I ended up getting (and I’m too lazy right now to go in his closet and look!), but I’m pretty sure it’s the middle one. :)

After Target I hit the Taco Bueno drive through and went home to see Indy!

What’s a good shopping day where you live? Do you have fun retail centers near by? Oklahoma friends, any new boutiques to visit? Or shops I should re-visit? Let me know!
