Today I get to feature one of my favorite people – Megan! If you don’t know Megan in real life, you’re missing out. She’s super cute, hilarious, and we go waaaay back.
I grew up in Minco and now I call OKC home. I’m a graduate of OSU with my bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration with an emphasis in Event Planning. I currently work in the world of non-profit for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as an Event Marketing Representative. My favorite places to shop in no particular order are Nordstrom’s, J. Crew, Gap, Zara, Dillard’s, Anthropologie, and American Eagle (judge all you want but they have some good stuff minus the logo items- clearly I am not 16 trying to impress a boy with my nostalgic A&E skin tight graphic tee). I love reading, running, going to the movies by myself, experimenting with makeup. spending time with friends and family and weekend brunch with my roomie!
1. What was the last item of clothing you purchased?
My guilty pleasure are these SUPER soft oversized crop tees- I bought two (blue and black) from AE and in my mind you can pair them with anything and look feminine yet effortless.
2. What is your favorite item in your closet?
My Dolce Vita booties. By far my smartest winter/fall purchase. I absolutely love them they are my go-to booties that look good with anything and I wear them probably about 4 times a week.
3. What trend do you just not get?
Ughhh black and white vertical stripes…I CAN’T! I don’t know if it’s my dislike for Miley Cyrus who frequently wears them or the fact that they will always remind me of Beetlejuice. Either way, Just Say NO.
4. What’s on your shopping list?
Nordstrom Haute Society Kimono. I’m currently obsessed with kimonos for spring!
5. Where would you go on a dream shopping spree?
Ohhhh man I could do some serious damage in Anthropologie with no budget.
Outfit of Choice:
My go to fashion blog that captures my style perfectly is Happily Grey (I can’t afford everything she wears but I definitely get inspiration from her looks). I have a very similar look that I wear on Fridays at work or on the weekends. It’s a pretty laid back look but those heels add the perfect polish.
Thanks to Megan for putting this together! What do you think of her style? And do you agree with what she said about black and white vertical stripes? I hadn’t thought much about it until now, but she may be on to something:
