About Anna:

bio pic

I am originally from Edmond, Oklahoma but have since served as a missionary in England and now find myself in Abilene, Texas where I work as the Ministry Events Coordinator for Abilene Christian University.  Just this past December I completed my Masters of Arts in Conflict Resolution and work with the Duncum Center for Conflict Resolution in my spare time.  I have a wonderful husband and gorgeous baby who bring me so much joy. I have a passion for all things food, travel, and entertainment and am the most satisfied when I am serving people and feeling useful.

Hands down, I am a GAP girl. Followed closely by Target. GAP Outlets are irresistible and I have yet to say no to one! My life was forever changed the day they created their GAP curvy jeans and I have never looked back.  One might say that I am the poster child for the “pear-shaped” body and jean shopping used to be my nemesis. Now I just walk in, pick up whatever size I am at the time and hit the road.  Delicious.

Style Survey:

1. What was the last item of clothing you purchased?

I got some Steve Madden Intyce boots. They are brown leather and fantastic for the bigger calved girl. INTYCE COGNAC LE

2. What is your favorite item in your closet?

Scarves and more scarves.  I wear them all the time and I literally do not know what I would do if they ever went out of style.

3. What trend do you just not get?

I will stand by this until the day I die: booty shorts.  Just why?  Anyone who would actually want to see your lower butt cheeks isn’t the kind of person you should be trying to impress.  Let’s add some inches, ladies.  Modest is Hottest.

4. What’s on your shopping list?

I am in the market for a really comfy and cute flannel shirt that I can dress up and dress down.  I just love the casual but still stylish “I’m a fancy mountain/outdoors-y type of gal” *vibe that a good flannel shirt puts off.  You can dress it down or up.

*I am none of these things but that doesn’t mean I can’t pretend!

5. Where would you go on a dream shopping spree?

Can I say Europe?  Just Europe.  Of course if Macy’s or Banana Republic asked me, it would be rude not to, right?

Outfit of Choice:

Daytime Outfit

Dark jeans, with a solid colored shirt, 3/4 length cardigan and multicolored scarf with cute flats or sandals (no heels, I hate them.  I want to love them, but I just can’t).  I don’t know what I would do without cardigans and scarves!  Like, seriously.  They are SO versatile and SO easy to make look good.  They are my fashion life blood.
