Hello, my friends! Today is an extra special day for a few reasons.

- It’s my birthday!
In honor of my birthday I thought I’d share “42 things about me”. Just kidding!
First of all, I can’t possibly be 42, right? RIGHT? (I’m going to assume you agree I don’t look a day past 35.) And second, I don’t think I can think of that many things about myself.
But I do want to make an introduction of some sort, or a re-introduction if you’ve been here for a while!
So, hi! I’m Jamie. Mom of two, wife of one, and owner of many pairs of shoes.
This year it will be 20 years (20! YEARS!) since I first launched JK Style, a personal shopping/styling business. Since then I’ve curated closets and shopped for women (and some men!) all over the Oklahoma City area.
And while I still provide those same services, I’ve also branched out over the years to include corporate services, media services, and costume design! (Go watch The Vast of Night on Amazon, I did that!)
A little more about me:
My personal style is kind of “elevated everyday”. I’m a full-time mom who also works from home (I have this website too) so I do spend quite a bit of time in my yoga/sweat pants but when I leave the house (which doesn’t happen every day!) I do make an effort to change my clothes. Hair and makeup? Not always. But clothes? Yes.
My style in 2024 definitely took a turn for the more casual, maybe a combination of age, current life stage (home with kids), and maybe even all those trips to casual-cool California. (I go about every 10 weeks for my son’s food allergy treatments.) Just think how my style would have evolved if his treatment was in NYC! :)
For 2025? I’m not exactly moving away from comfort and ease, but I do plan on leaning into “dopamine dressing” more, but more on that later!
