With Radiant Orchid being named the 2014 Pantone Color of the Year, shades of purple will be popping up everywhere! (Lucky me, it’s my favorite color!) Maybe you’re not a fan of Radiant Orchid, but there are many other shades of purple to choose from! Find the one that looks great on your skin tone. (Hint: Periwinkle is often considered a flattering shade on every skin tone, so that might be a good place to start!) If the shade you like does nothing but wash you out, try to incorporate it into your accessories!
Today I have a few ways to incorporate purple into your wardrobe, whether you like it a little, or a lot. (And if you hate all things purple, just ignore today’s post!) As always, click the photos for specific item information!
This is a great transition outfit as we (hopefully) move into the warmer months soon. A little on the casual side with the sweater, don’t be afraid to add some sparkles to your jewelry. A gorgeous shoe really takes it up a notch. To ensure the shoes are the centerpiece, I’ve kept the rest of the outfit pretty neutral but you could definitely do a printed top as well.
If you’re a jeans and t-shirt kind of a girl, consider a purple accessory to make your outfit really pop. I love this purple bag!
Wedding shower? Fancy brunch? Nothing says Spring like florals and this pretty periwinkle really sets off the skirt.
I need this dress in my closet. Now. This would be a gorgeous Easter dress, or maybe worn to a spring wedding!
And, I’m going to need these pants. And maybe this whole outfit.
How you plan to wear purple this year? Or are you boycotting? Let me know!
I’m loving purple right now! I have definitely been gravitating towards plum fingernail polish and lipstick but I l love that purple dress!!
I need to find that purple dress! Or something similar!
