Tie-dye is definitely having a moment right now, and it’s growing on me more and more. It’s not just for spring and summer though, this trend can be carried into the fall. Here’s a super easy way to take a gorgeous blue tie dye dress and style it for cooler weather.
When I put on this dress this morning, I thought, “Didn’t I write a styling post about it a long time ago?”. Turns out, I did. I wrote a “wear it now, wear it later” post for it back in August of 2016 and I think it still holds up!

Obviously none of the items I had linked would be available now, including the blue tie dye dress (which was from SheIn and under $20 when I bought it.), BUT, I found a few options you might like if you’re in the market! (See below.) Don’t need a new dress and just want to know how to transition a summery dress into fall? There’s a SUPER easy styling option below to help you out.

We’re in that time of year where we know that cooler temps are coming, however, we’ve yet to see ANY sign. (It’s so, so hot still!) Unless you live somewhere that is already seeing some relief from the summer (or you’re in another part of the world where summer doesn’t equal hot temps), I know you get what I’m saying. I’m spending my days indoors with the A/C running up a high bill while I browse jackets and boots online. One day, one day… For now, let’s talk about how we can style the items we’re loving for right now AND later in the year. That’s right, it’s “Wear it Now, Wear it Later!”
I bought this flowy blue print maxi dress a couple of months ago and I’m loving how easy (and gorgeous!) it is!
Wear it Now:
This summer I’ve paired it with nude shoes and and simple accessories. Oh, and a white tank underneath as it’s a little lower than I’d like!
Wear it Later
All I need to do to make this fall and winter-ready is add a good black jacket and some ankle boots! I can even add some tights if needed (the dress is pretty thin.) Such an easy transition!
Here are a few options for gorgeous blue tie-dye dresses, all under $50:
Have an item in your closet you’d like to wear now and later? Let me know and maybe I’ll tackle it in a future post! Oh, and make sure you check out these suuper comfy, super cute jumpsuits (that are super cheap, too!)
You can pin this post for later!

I love that dress! But I think I would also put a little tank underneath it.
