As a kid, my grandma received the JC Penney catalog. I have many fond memories of sitting in front of the winter catalog and circling the items I wanted for Christmas (they had lots of toys in them.) I also circled lots of pretty dresses as I recall, and received quite a few of them. As an adult, I don’t visit JC Penney too often. I know they’ve tried to revamp their style over the years and draw in a more fashion-forward crowd, but I admit it’s never on my list of places to go. After a quick trip to the mall recently where I parked outside of JC Penney, I passed a gorgeous faux leather asymmetrical skirt in the front display and had to pick it up on my way out! I fell in love with a full leather skirt a couple of years ago from Zara and was so sad when it sold out before I had a chance to get one. I haven’t seen one I liked since! Not only was this particular JC Penney skirt just what I was looking for, it was on sale! I happened in on a good day, I ended up paying under $20 for it! It’s currently on sale for $27.99 so I suggest you order one quick! How are you going to wear it, you ask? Let’s see what we can do today with styling a leather skirt!
Paired with slightly slouchy sweater, this outfit can still look low-maintenace (no matter how long you spend on your hair and makeup)!

Looking for something a little more polished? A fitted sweater and pumps are all you need!

Think you can’t wear leather in a more professional setting? Think again! A sweet cardigan and tweed heels keep this look ultra feminine and ultra cute.

Not quite sweater weather where you live? This skirt is lightweight enough for year round! Pair with a t-shirt and sandals and you’ve got yourself a seriously cute look.

I used to look forward to my Grandma’s JCP Catalog, too! So fun :) It was like 1.5 inches thick and so fun to look through!
Love your ideas for that leather skirt. The asymmetrical cut would drive me crazy, though! I think I’d need to just hem it even, haha. Such a cute skirt, though!
I miss the JCPenney’s catalog. I’ve ordered a few clothing items from the catalog but really miss looking at bedding and other misc. items.
The skirt is great and I love that lavender clutch!
