Holiday Gift Guide

Gift Guide: Gifts that Give Back

Love this? Share it!

While the last gift guide was all about the most expensive things out there, today’s guide is all about giving back!  I’ve put together some places that either donate percentages of purchases or help support worthy causes. Take a look and let me know how you plan to give back this holiday season! (And EVERY season!)

Smile.Amazon.com
Next time you shop on Amazon, add a “smile.” in front of it! Choose the charity of your choice to receive a donation of 5% of your purchase. With millions of organizations to choose from, you’re bound to find something you want to support! (I support Heartbeat For Hope!)

For every bag you purchase, a $5 donation will be made based on the color bag you buy. (White bag = $5 donation to Lung Cancer Alliance, purple bag = $5 donation to Alzheimer’s awareness, etc.) Plus, all bags are made with vegan leather.

Give a Goat

give a goat

This year, give a goat in honor of someone (or everyone) on your list! Giving a goat will help  someone in the Philippines support their family!

31 Bits

The goal of 31 Bits is to empower people through the fashion industry. They work with beneficiaries in Uganda to create fashionable, quality products. The women earn an income enabling them to provide for their families. The beads are made from paper and most of the other materials are sourced from Eastern Africa, supporting local markets.

The Little Market

The Little Market’s mission is to build sustainable partnerships with artisans in developing countries, by connecting them with customers through an online marketplace. They seek to empower women artisans to rise above poverty and support their families.

Shop With Meaning

Check out this site where you can shop companies that gift back. Search by item (apparel, footwear, etc.) or by cause (human trafficking, clean water, etc.).
I hope this gave you a few gift ideas! And please, let me know of other companies you know of that give back!
