Quick question for you, are you still washing your hair every day? While I feel like thoughts on hair washing have changed over the years, I still feel like some people are a little grossed out when I tell them I don’t wash my hair every day. Or even every other day. Are you disgusted with me yet? (I do practice good hygiene, really!)
It’s a pretty standard conversation I have every time I get my hair cut or blown out. And most hair stylists I’ve spoken to will agree that your hair will look and feel better if you skip the shampoo occasionally! How about a little challenge? If you are a daily washer, try cutting down to 3 times a week, just for a couple of weeks and see what you think! It may get pretty greasy at first, but just give it a try and I think you’ll like the results! If you do need a little oil-control, grab some dry shampoo and apply to your roots. Not only will it absorb the oil, but it will add some body.
I try not to wash my hair at least two days of the week. My hair gets oily so incredibly fast and it makes it even flatter than it already is! I have yet to find the perfect and magical dry shampoo, in the meantime I use baby powder.
Mine is the same way. The more often I wash the more it needs it! Oscar Blandi is the best dry shampoo I’ve found so far, but please let me know if you find anything you love! I’m always looking!
