Let’s talk hair today. Specifically, my hair, but feel free to comment with your own hair issues! Of all my physical features, my hair is probably my favorite. Reasons I love my hair:
It’s naturally straight, so no flat irons or special products required.
I don’t color it, so no appointments necessary every few weeks for touch ups.
It has natural highlights. As a kid I had really light blonde hair. As I got older my hair darkened but left streaks of light blonde throughout. Depending on how it’s parted it can look really light or dark.
There’s a lot of it. While my hair is pretty fine, there’s a TON of it. Every time I get my hair cut somewhere new the stylist is always shocked at how much hair there is once you really start looking!
Now, a few reasons I sometimes don’t like my hair:
It’s naturally straight. So, no volume, and it takes quite a bit of work to curl it and a TON of product to keep it that way for more than a couple of hours.
I don’t color it. So any shine I get has to come naturally! (And that can be hard!)
There’s a lot of it. This leads to several issues:
It takes forever to dry. FOREVER. I’ll be honest, along with the fact that I think my hair is healthier when I only wash it 2-3 times a week, not having to dry it daily is another big plus! I despise drying my hair.
Not washing daily can sometimes lead to it feeling a little dry (between the elements and dry shampoo use), especially in the summer when I’m outside more, or in the winter when nature has zapped all the moisture up.
My hair can sometimes feel really heavy, even though it’s fine.
I’ve tried lots of products over the years and was excited when I had the chance to try MONAT recently! MONAT (which stands for Modern Nature), is a natural-based hair treatment that uses botanical oils to treat and restore hair to a healthy state. Plus, it can help with hair growth and reverse aging! I suggest checking out their website to see all the science behind it, it’s kind of amazing!
I tried the Revive Shampoo, Restore Leave-In Conditioner, and the REJUVENIQUE Oil Intensive and was really happy with my results! The Revive system is for volume, which I desperately need! And while I’m normally not a fan of leave-in conditioners (they usually leave my hair too greasy to skip a couple of days of washing), this didn’t do that at all! In fact, my hair felt so light! I stuck to my regular shampoo schedule of a few days in between washes and didn’t notice any extra oil buildup!
As far as the REJUVENIQUE Oil, first off, this stuff smells AMAZING. And second, it’s got several uses! I added some to my hair as a pre-shampoo treatment, but you can also use it on your body as a moisturizer or a facial oil.
Overall I really loved my trial! My hair felt lighter, looked shinier and had volume without any extra products! I would think that if you are someone who has some hair damage or loss these products could make a huge difference! You can get more information here!
