Small Business Saturday Support!

Love this? Share it!

There’s a lot going on this week. Between holiday preparations, travel, Thanksgiving meals and naps, this is a big week! And while millions across the U.S. are putting together their Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping lists, there’s one day I urge you not to forget about this year!
Small Business Saturday is happening this coming Saturday, November 28. If you know a small business owner, or happen to be one yourself, you know how hard it can be to survive! This year take a few minutes, and a little cash, and see what items you can mark off your holiday shopping list while supporting a small business owner!

I’ve put together a few small businesses I think are worth checking out in the categories of Fashion and Beauty, and Home Decor and Paper Goods (basically all the pretty things). Plus, they’re all shop-able online! Check them out and feel free to add your own suggestions for favorite small shops in the comments! AND, there’s a giveaway happening too! So make sure you sign up below!!

  • Pencil Shavings Studio – First of all if you’re not following Rachel’s blog, you should! If you’re a fan of color, you’ll find inspiration for days! (Plus, her kids are cute!) Her shop is full of gorgeous items, from lucite trays to art prints, pillows, phone cases and more! Some of my favorite items:

  • Jenny Highsmith Lettering – I am completely obsessed with Jenny’s work! Reading through the prints, I want to buy every one! In fact, I bought two as I was putting together this post! She has mugs, art prints, stationary and even some $5 downloads. I’m pretty sure you’re going to fall in love with her work like I did!

  • Stella Rae’s – From cozy fall staples to feminine skirts and dresses, Stella Rae’s has a great selection of clothing and jewelry! It may not be the most seasonal item at the moment but I’m kind of in love with that maxi dress!

  • Inside and Out Cosmetics – I tried some samples of Inside and Out cosmetics  a while back and was impressed with both the company and their products! Not only are their cosmetics organic and all-natural, they’re good quality too! (The ones I’ve tried anyway!) I love that they sell a $5 lip sample box with their best-sellers, it’s a great way to try out the brand! Bonus, they also donate 10% of profits to reputable women’s charities.

These gorgeous earrings come from another small business you should know about, Sister Act 3! This cute little boutique is in my hometown. Oklahoma friends, if you happen to find yourself in the Minco vicinity some day you need to stop and check out the downtown area! Between Sister Act 3 (cute jewelry, clothing and home accessories), Iron Angel (antiques, furniture, jewelry, etc.), Blossom Time (antiques, jewelry, accessories, home goods, etc.), Jan’s (florist, accessories, home decor and gifts), Pink Elephant Boutique (antiques and vintage) and The Re-Store (antiques and gifts), you’ll find lots of fun things!

I’m going to continue providing some recommendations for businesses worth checking out this holiday season including some retailers that give back! Stay tuned!
