Happy Friday! As I type this (on Thursday afternoon) we’re expecting crazy rain on Friday/Saturday. It sounds like a great weekend to stay inside and online shop. :) At least browse, anyway! I hope you stay dry and warm (and safe) wherever you are! Here are my Friday Favorites for the week to keep you occupied for a bit!
1. This dress
I stopped by Dillards this week to pick up a wedding gift but couldn’t resist a quick stroll through the clothes. In case you haven’t been out lately, fall fashion is in full swing! I thought this leather dress by Antonio Melani was A+
It’s not cheap ($259), but it’s pretty!
2. New Cat and Jack Baby Box
Indy’s new Cat and Jack box came this week and I LOVE everything in it! You can read more about the box here, but take a look at what came this time:
3. This lip mask
I got a trial size of this lip mask in my Allure Beauty Box this week and I’ve been using it for several nights now. It goes on just like a gloss or balm and doesn’t make my lips feel dry or sticky (like some other lip masks I’ve tried). I’m anxious to see how things look after a full week of use, and I can tell you now, I’ve got high hopes! (Oh, and it smells good too!)
4. This podcast
Recently we went through a fun little growth spurt/developmental “leap” with Indy that also lined up perfectly with him getting his first tooth (basically he was really fun during this time) and left him having trouble napping. I spent many, many hours in the past month driving around the town I live in listening to podcasts while he napped in the backseat. (He’s a great car sleeper!) While I’m still loving Forever35, I’m also really into Second Life. Hillary Kerr (of Who What Wear, Byrdie Beauty, and all the other awesome projects she’s part of) interviews women with really incredible jobs who have made big career changes.
She has amazing guests, everyone from Lauren Conrad (reality TV star to fashion designer, author, etc.), Sophia Rossi (television producer to the creator of website Hello Giggles), Jessica Alba (actress to creator of The Honest Company), and SO many others! The last episode I listened to was Mandy Moore discussing her life as teen popstar to her current gig on the wildly popular This is Us.
Second Life is inspiring, motivating, and just really, really interesting! Give it a listen, and tell me, what are you listening to? I could use some recommendations before Indy’s next tooth comes in. :)
