Hi friends, how’s your Friday? I’m writing this a few days early (it’s Tuesday right now!), but I’ll be at the Mom 2.0 conference until tomorrow so I’m working ahead! :) I’ve got some Friday Favorites for you!
1. Mask of the Week
I needed a break Monday night and got in the bathtub with a face mask and my new favorite podcast, Forever35 (more on that below!).
The mask: TONYMOLY I’m Real Red Wine Mask Sheet Pore Care (You can grab it for $3.75 from Ulta Beauty)
What does it do? This mask is formulated with red wine extract to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores while tightening and purifying skin. It is supposed to give you a “healthier” looking complexion.
Easy to apply/remove? Yes, just unfold and apply the paper mask and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. I didn’t rinse my face afterward.
Did it work? I didn’t think I noticed a huge change in my skin after removing the mask that night BUT the next day my skin and face overall looked better than it has in MONTHS. (Seriously, I was taking photos of my eyes to send to my husband.) That could also be due to the fact that Indy slept nine hours that night, but either way, my skin looked amazing on Tuesday when I got up! This is the first time my under eyes haven’t been dark and puffy in ages. Was it the mask? Was it the sleep? Maybe a combination of the two? Who knows!?
Final verdict? 5 stars! Whatever the reason behind getting my face back, I think I’ll be buying more of these!
2. Forever35 Podcast
I don’t know if you think a podcast featuring two friends discussion serums sounds interesting, but I admit, the premise didn’t intrigue me when I first heard about this podcast. How interesting could a discussion about beauty products really be?
Friends, I was so wrong. This is my new favorite podcast and if you’re even remotely interested in taking care of yourself (beauty, aging, self-care, etc.), I think you’ll love it too! You can read more about this over on Splendry!
3. New Haircut
I finally got a haircut on Monday and am feeling much better about life! :) You might remember, but I typically get haircuts once a year, which sounds weird, and actually, maybe it is. For some reason I’ve gotten in this habit of chopping my hair off at the first of the year (though this year it was almost May) and then letting it grow out until I decide to chop it off again. The thing is, I really like my hair better cut to around my shoulders, but this goes to show you how lazy I am about my hair! I did go ahead and make another appointment for a trim in a couple of months, so we’ll see if I keep it!
I’m also too lazy to take a selfie to show you my hair cut, so here’s a photo from last year, which is pretty much the same!
Consider that photo also proof that I did NOT get a “mom cut”, this is the same cut I got last year before I was a mom!
That’s all I’ve got for you today, I’ll see you next week!
