Hello, friends! Have you had a good week? My week’s been pretty low-key. Just plugging away at work and mom-ing. :) Speaking of mom-ing, we put Indy in his blow-up swimming pool for the first time on Monday and it was, as expected, adorable. It took him a bit to get into it, but pretty soon he was splashing away!
And now, here’s what you came for, this week’s Friday Favorites! :)

1. This dress
I bought this dress a few weeks ago and honestly, kind of forgot about it! I haven’t even worn it yet!
The thing I liked most about this dress is the length! This midi-length is interesting and I think I’ll be wearing it well into the fall. What do you think? I bought it at 40% off, but just checked and it’s now 50% off!
2. Mask of the week
The mask: Vichy Double Glow Peel Mask. I picked up a .5 oz jar at Target in their trial size area, it was just $4.50!
What does it do? Boosts skin’s radiance and gives you a glow. Vichy is a European brand and this mask is “formulated with volcanic rocks and AHA fruit acids to chemically and mechanically exfoliate the skin to refine skin texture and reveal a fresh, luminous glow.” Yes, volcanic rocks.
Easy to apply/remove? Yes. You apply the mask to your face, it has a gritty texture, and then let it sit for five minutes. Gently massage your face all over, as the mask peels away. Rinse and you’re done. You use it 1-2 times a week.
Did it work? So far! I literally just rinsed it off before writing this paragraph and my skin feels really smooth and soft. Info I found online says that skin texture will change after a month of use so I’ll try to remember to report back in a few weeks. This product can also be used with other masks, which is nice too.
I’m going to give it 5 stars for now, I’ll see if I need to change that after a few more weeks!
3. This tip
Somewhere on the internet this week (I can’t remember exactly), I saw this great tip for making makeup samples last longer! You know those sample pouches you get, usually of skincare product like a serum or moisturizer? You tear it open, sometimes losing product in the process and then try to salvage a couple of day’s worth of product to try. Next time? Use a pin to poke a hole in it so you can control how much comes out. You’ll get more uses out of the trial size product! Isn’t that smart? I wish I could take credit for it but someone on the internet (who is much smarter than me) thought of it!
That’s all I’ve got for today! See you next week!
