Last week may have been a little blah, but this week things have been looking up a bit! Now to just keep the momentum going, right? Do you have any big plans for the 4th? We typically have friends over for dinner and to watch the town fireworks show but I think I’ll be headed this weekend to New Mexico for a few days of family time which will be nice! Before I leave I need to cover my Friday Favorites, of course!
1. This documentary
I was so saddened to hear about the passing of Bill Cunningham this week. I always thought it would be fun to get to see him at work in NYC one day. If you haven’t seen this documentary about this life and career, I would really recommend it. What a sweet man he was!
2. These lamps
I had a quick trip to Texas earlier this week which always means a visit to IKEA! This might have been the first trip I’ve EVER made where I didn’t purchase anything! Had my car not been completely full (more on that below) I would have grabbed one of these KNUBBIG table lamps in silver. So gorgeous! And $14.99! I don’t see it available online right now but if you’re near an IKEA, grab one!
3. 1950s Clothing
Though in another month or so I imagine this won’t be making my Friday Favorites list! I’m currently trying to round up a LOT of clothing from the 1950s for a movie I’m doing wardrobe for. (That’s why my car was too full for IKEA this week!) If you’ve got any connections at all to vintage or thrift stores with things like:
- women’s long skirts – pencil and full
- long plain cardigans
- men’s fedoras
- vintage eyeglasses
- vintage shoes and bags
Please let me know! I need to dress a lot of people and any ideas will help!
