Fashion Pick-Me-Up: Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Love this? Share it!

Have you seen Breakfast at Tiffany’s? I remember the first time I saw it, I was in high school and had gone to stay the night in the college dorms with my older brother’s girlfriend at the time.  Breakfast at Tiffany’s was her favorite movie and I had other friends who claimed it as their own as well. After my first viewing I was a little confused. I thought the movie was, well, kind of weird. Not at all what I expected and I moved right on with my life.

I watched it again a few years ago and enjoyed it much more and when we found it on Netflix last week Brent and I decided to watch it together. I have to say, with this last viewing, I officially think I like this movie. Actually, I still think it’s weird, but I do find it more enchanting than I originally did! And the clothes, THE CLOTHES, well, it’s worth seeing the movie for the clothing alone.

Breakfast at Tiffany's Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly

Of course we all recognize the iconic little black dress worn by Audrey Hepburn’s Holly Golightly:

But what about all the other show stopping moments? (And there are a lot!) Every. single. thing. Audrey/Holly wears is absolute perfection. Whether she’s in a party dress,

jeans and a sweatshirt,

or just a towel, she is perfection.

I’m not even kidding, this movie is fashion heaven.

Breakfast at Tiffany's Audrey Hepburn Red Coat

I need this red coat in my life. And if that means I have to make it, so be it! Check out this adorable tie in the back:

And I’m kind of dying over Patricia Neal’s coat and turban here too.

Ugh, everything is PERFECT. Really, if you need a little fashion pick-me-up, Breakfast at Tiffany’s will do the trick!

It’s funny ~ I didn’t like Breakfast At Tiffany’s the first time I watched it either. I think I was too young to appreciate it. Now I think it’s heaven!
