Best Finds of 2024

Some of my favorite fashion and beauty purchases of 2024!

As I laced up my sneakers for school drop off this morning I started thinking about how happy I was with my new-ish shoes. We all know that doesn’t always happen!

I sat down with a notebook and pen a little later (my preferred note-taking technique) and wrote down the other purchases I made in 2024 that I was very happy with. I may have missed a couple here or there, but honestly, I feel like 2024 wasn’t too heavy on purchases – unless you count airline tickets and Airbnbs, which my bank account definitely does.

Here are my top Fashion and Beauty No-Regrets Purchases for 2024

my best fashion and beauty buys of 2024

1. Taupe & Black Sneakers

Taupe and black Madden Girl Sneakers

This one was surprising for two reasons. 1) Sneakers for non-athletic activities is something I’ve slowly been inching towards and last year I finally went for it. 2) Taupe has always been a hard pass for me.

But for some reason the taupe just seemed a little more chic than the white option and I’m happy with my choice. I’ve worn them quite a few times now and I feel like they’re the perfect finishing touch for those casual outfits that need a little bump.

This particular color is only available in a couple of sizes currently, but there are also other colors to pick from. Also, the price jumps around quite often, I think I was able to score them at under $30!

2. Be Happy Hair Mask

Be Happy Hair Mask

80s and 90s babies will remember the head of hair on Topanga from Boy Meets World. And Danielle Fishel (Topanga) now has her own hair care line, Be Free. My brother and sister-in-law gifted me this hair mask from her line for my birthday and I’ve used it a couple of times now and loooove it.

My hair is soft, silky, and smells just ridiculously good. No joke, I randomly pull strands of hair to my face just to smell it (and it has no synthetic fragrances, so it just naturally smells amazing!). I also like that the mask is lightweight so my hair isn’t immediately greasy after using. It’s also free of all the stuff we don’t want in our hair, so that’s a plus!

3. Skincare from The Ordinary

skincare from The Ordinary

I’ve been wanting to up my skincare game lately (perhaps a recent birthday brought it to mind) and I finally ran into Ulta the other day to pick up a couple of products from The Ordinary. The Ordinary is known for incredible quality products that are actually affordable. And not “affordable” like $65 a jar, I picked up the two below for less than $25 combined!

I’ve heard of this line for ages but hadn’t tried anything yet. I tried the Exfoliating Toner and the Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum and feel like I’ve noticed a new glow in my skin after just a few days.

4. Able Denim Jacket

Merly Jacket from Able

Full disclosure, Able sent me this product to review for Splendry BUT I’m talking about it on my own here because I love it so much.

Maybe it’s all my California trips but suddenly a denim jacket seemed like a must-have for my closet. When Able reached out to me about trying something I requested their Merly jacket and have nothing but good things to say. It’s *perfectly* broken in, a great length/size/shape, and goes with just about everything in my closet.

While I tend to gravitate to the more affordable side of things, this jacket is a little more on the splurge side. Though at the time I’m writing this it half off!

5. Pixi Wide-Leg Pants

Old Navy Pixi Wide-Leg Pants

So technically I bought this pair of pants more than a year ago BUT, I lost them so I replaced them in 2024 so I’ll count it. :)

This is the most flattering, comfortable, great pair of black trousers I own and when I misplaced them a few months ago I was so irritated at myself! Did I leave them in California? Are they hidden in someone else’s closet? Ugh.

Anyway, they finally came back in stock around Christmas in my size and I grabbed another pair (actually two – black AND burgundy) and I’ve already worn them so many times.

6. Crane Print Kimono

Crane Print Kimono

I was actually shocked when I realized I only bought this kimono about a year ago. Maybe I’ve worn it too many times? :)

This is the perfect “dress up a tee and jeans outfit” item. It’s fun, if not a little whimsical, statement-making without being too wild, and it’s just a great lightweight piece to throw on whenever. I love it and I’d buy it again for sure.

7. Lip oils

Clover Bloom Lip Oils

My sister-in-law makes these PERFECT lip oils and they are, well, perfect. Nourishing, not greasy, not sticky, and give you a great wash of color. Oh, and they smell amazing!

I have Berry Kiss, a great rich berry color and Pop Singer, a bright pinky-red that gives you a subtle bold lip that’s so soft.

Did I originally buy this from my SIL to support her? Yes. Do I keep buying it because I love it? YES.

8. Relaxed Fit Blazer

Relaxed Fit Blazer

Just a great all-around blazer that goes with everything I own. I’m a big blazer fan so finding one that fits *just right* is always a thrill.

9. Tall T-Shirts

Old Navy tall t-shirts

I have a an absurdly long torso and I finally came to my senses and bought myself some Old Navy t-shirts in their “Tall” fit. Have I purchased Old Navy t-shirts for clients before? Absolutely. Have I continued to buy t-shirts that are too short for my torso? Again, absolutely.

ANYWAY, I bought the shirts, I can lift my arms and stay covered, and they’re are really cheap and I have zero complaints. (They also come in regular and petite sizes if that’s what you need).

That’s my list from 2024! Did you have any must-talk-about buys from the past year? Share!
