Likely you’ve seen those ridiculous-looking viral face masks that are all over Tik-Tok and Instagram, I finally gave them a try!

A few weeks ago I was minding my own business on Facebook when a post interrupted me. Someone in a group I’m in asked for the best, tried-and-true, 100% would buy again beauty products.

Naturally I read (and took notes!) all 250 comments and thus, my 2026 has now been planned for me. :) But really, it’s in all our best interest to do a little deep dive, right?

Viral Face Masks from Social Media

First up on my list, the viral, ridiculous-looking collagen face masks that you wear overnight!

Collagen Overnight Mask

What they are: sheet masks that are unlike any I’ve tried. Thicker, almost gel-like and split into two parts, one part for your mouth/chin, the other for your forehead/eyes/nose. They are white, which is the collagen you’ll be absorbing while you sleep!

Easy to apply, and yes, quite scary to look at. I was really afraid one of my kids would need me in the night and I’d absolutely terrify them, but so far so good!

How they feel: It felt really nice on! It’s not super liquid-y so I wasn’t worried about dripping serum all over my bed and pillow. Also, as a side-sleeper I was still able to be comfortable, I just kind of used my ear and behind the ear as what propped me on the pillow. I really had no issues with sleeping or being comfortable.Woman wearing the viral face mask

“Least flattering photo award!” Awkward, yes, but I wanted to show you how I “side-slept” in the mask.

What happened when I woke up: I knew immediately my skin had absorbed all the product because the mask now felt very thin, more like a film.

As for my face, it felt incredible! Smooth and firm, hydrated, and just overall glowy. 5 stars from me!

The instructions say to use them once a week for best results, but that they can also be used daily, which feels like too much for me. So far I’ve done two masks spaced out by a week (it’s my new Sunday evening ritual) and think it’s perfect!

And if you don’t want to wear them all night, you could do 3-4 hours and it will also give you time to absorb the mask!

This particular mask came in a box of four making each mask less than $5 a piece, which is a pretty decent little weekly treat.

Have you tried these masks? What did you think? Have a life-changing beauty product I need to know about? Let me know!
