Happy first Monday in June! Does that soften the fact that it’s Monday at all? No? Well, I tried. :)
I was going to include a snippet on the new Versed beauty line in my Friday Favorites last week, but due to a major headache no post happened. The good news, other than my headache being gone, is that now it will get its own post!
As a fan of Who What Wear, the fashion site and amazing and affordable clothing line at Target, I was really excited to hear that the same company behind them was now launching a beauty line.
And not just any beauty line- an affordable one (everything’s under $20 and it’s sold at Target).
And not only is this new beauty line affordable, it’s clean!
Versed Skincare
As someone who used to not notice or care much about the products I used on my body, all that changed when I was pregnant a couple years ago. I suddenly realized the things I put on my skin were getting into my body and I wanted to start making some different choices.
When I heard this new line was clean, as in, it meets the EU standards which are much stricter than the US, I knew I had to try it out.
Versed Products I’ve Tried
Silk Slip Conditioning Lip Oil $9.99
I don’t want to brag, but chapped lips are kind of my thing. Unfortunately.
I’ve tried six billion lip balms and scrub, masks and oils and while I do have a few favorites, this conditioning lip oil is now in my rotation.
It’s longer lasting than a balm (oils take longer to absorb) and isn’t the slightest bit sticky, which I’ve found can happen with oils.
Found the Light Powder with Vitamin C $19.99
I’ve been hearing about the virtues of Vitamin C for skincare for quite a while now and have been perusing serums and lotions online.
Here’s something I didn’t know- Vitamin C is amazing for skin, but breaks down quickly! Vitamin C lotions and serums will lose their potency quickly, which is what makes this product extra cool- it’s a powder!
In powder form it was last, and be effective, much longer, and you can add it to any type of moisturizer or serum you’d like. I’ve been adding a little tap of powder to my moisturizer in the mornings before applying and it’s really easy to do.
So, that’s what I’ve tried. Here are the next two items on my wish list!
Booster with Hyaluronic Acid Facial Treatment $19.99
I’ve used other Hyaluronic Acid products in the past, and I’m a fan. They go on almost like a watery gel and really up your moisture levels. Plus, they add some plumping power, which is more important to me as I age.
The ones I’ve used in the past don’t necessarily qualify as “clean”, so I’m more than happy to make a swap.
The Shortcut Overnight Facial Peel $19.99
Listen, I’m a fan of anything that does the work for me while I sleep. And waking up with glowy, gorgeous skin sounds like a dream.
I’ve been recently looking into trying retinoids for my skin and I heard this was a somewhat gentler approach. It exfoliates, brightens and hydrates while still being gentle on your skin.
*adding to my shopping cart now*
There are some other great products, but these two are at the top of my list! I know they’re working on new products too, and I personally hope there’s a daily spf coming soon.
Have you tried anything from the new Versed beauty line? I’d love to hear what you think of it!
