InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Mask Review

Love this? Share it!

I’ve had the chance to review a few products lately and have been sharing the goods with some Splendry contributors too! Lailah recently tried out the InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Mask. Her thoughts:

I love a spa day.  Give me a steam room and some lavender oil and I’m a happy lady. (Throw in a glass of wine and we are really in business!) However, at this stage in life, I have neither the time or the energy to actually make it to the spa. I do have time for at home treatments though!   Facial masks are an easy way for me to get the spa feel without a ton of time or effort. (Anyone sensing a theme here?)

I recently tried the Insta-Natural Dead Sea Mud Mask.  I’m usually really picky about masks. They either dry too fast, dry out my skin or really don’t do much that I can notice.  This mask was great.  I didn’t know if I was doing it right at first because of the texture -it goes on very wet and seems too thin when you’re applying it.  As it starts to dry, you can tell you’ve got plenty of coverage. Once it was completely dried, my face got all tight, and a little itchy, but I just interpret that as the mask working! The directions said to use water to rinse, but that took a long time, so I switched to a washcloth.

Now for the results! The mask is also labeled as a detoxifier and purifier, and that is the best way to describe how I felt after the mask.  More pores felt empty and cool, like after extractions during a facial. I have a fair amount redness and scarring on my cheeks and along my jawline (thank you adult onset acne!) and after the mask it was much improved.   There was virtually no redness until about a day later.  With the pore-tightening effect, the scarring was less noticeable as well.  The effects of the mask were strongest right after I removed it (in the evening) and on into the next day.  I could tell the benefits for several days afterwards.  I would say that this mask is a good once a week treatment to get all the gunk out of those pores without your skin feeling dry and over-worked.

P.S. I am not naked in the photos, it’s just the angle, I swear! (Although for an authentic spa experience, I should have put on a robe!)
