Sometime last year I started thinking about the products I have always been curious about but haven’t wanted to try for one reason or another. Maybe it’s too expensive, maybe it’s hard to track down, etc.
I figured if I had questions about products and companies other people probably did too, which lead me to deciding to start some reviews over on Splendry.
One of the first things that came to mind was Color Street Nails. I had a friend that sold them, but were they really good? Or were people just buying them to be nice? 😊
I thought it would be fun and helpful to have some of my contributors all try them out so we could report back with real experiences and opinions on the product.
Fast forward a few months and the post has been very popular, but I’ve been getting some negative feedback on it. Why, you say?
Well.
I asked five of my contributors to take the “Color Street Challenge” and report back, which they did. The reviews were positive overall and I felt it was an honest and informative look at the product.
What people are mad about is that each contributor used the Color Street glitter nail stickers as their tester. They’re mad because glitter polish typically lasts longer than regular polish anyway so it wasn’t a fair trial and that we tried to scam them.
First, no. 😆 Neither I, nor Splendry, is associated with Color Street. One of my regular contributors sells them, so I asked her for the samples we tried and let her know these would be honest reviews, and if they were negative so be it. (But they weren’t.)
Second, they have a point. I honestly hadn’t thought about glitter vs regular nail polish, I just let people pick what they wanted (and they wanted glitter, duh). I should have assigned the non-glitter to at least a couple of people.
Third, I’m going to try to fix my oversight. (I won’t call it a mistake because the review is an honest review, it just could be more thorough!)
Fourth, the Internet is a weird place where people get very worked up about things that really have no importance. (Like a free review about a product no one is forcing you to buy. 🤷🏼♀️)
I ordered some Color Street nails and they arrived last week. They are plain polish, no glitter, no design, so I’ll be taking the Color Street Challenge myself and will update the Splendry post with my findings.

I’ll also post a full review here because it might be helpful if you’re wanting to try them out too!
Point of this story, I’m just trying to help. 😊 I don’t always get it right but I’m not out to trick anyone into buying anything, ever, I promise.
And if you have an idea for a review here (by me), or on Splendry (with multiple people), just let me know and I’ll see if I can make it happen!
For now, stay tuned for a nail review (if I get them done today I’ll have the review up next week)! Oh, and come back tomorrow for more good stuff.
Stay home, stay healthy, stay sane. 😁
