If you’re on social media I’m guessing you’ve heard of Lipsense by now! I was curious to know if it really was as long-lasting as it claimed to be so I decided to put it to the test. Plus, if it really will help me eliminate the dozens of lipcolors in my bag that’s a great bonus too! Does this look familiar to you? I’m guessing it does!
If you’re like me, you’ve got about a billion lipsticks, glosses and balms swimming in the bottom of your bag or vanity drawer. And while I love changing up my lip look all the time, it would also be nice to occasionally put on lipstick in the morning and then not think about it again for the rest of the day!
Guess what? Now I can! I was recently invited to a Lipsense lipstick party and of course I wanted to go! Who wouldn’t want to go to a lipstick party? Anyway, this isn’t just your run of the mill lipstick or lipgloss. This stuff is supposed to last all day long! I’m a little skeptical by nature, so I thought I’d give it a try! (And share with you, of course!)
Lipsense by SeneGence is waterproof, smear-proof, and won’t kiss-off, or rub off until you take it off. To use, you apply three coats, allowing dry time in between each coat. Then top with their lip gloss:
After you’ve applied your lip color you don’t need to apply again that day. You can reapply your lipgloss if you need it.
I know what you’re thinking, lip color that doesn’t come off, what’s in it? And is it safe? (At least that’s what I was thinking!) I copied this from the company website:
So, up to 18 hours of color. Sound too good to be true? I gave it a shot. I took this photo after the party that night:

I didn’t take it off before bed and the next morning, post-run on the treadmill:

And later in the day:
That’s after sleeping all night, running, showering, brushing my teeth, eating, etc. Pretty good!
The Lipsense shade I bought and am wearing in those photos is Fly Girl, which I layered with Beige Champagne at the party. That’s the really cool part about these glosses, you can layer them to get different shades! On it’s own, Fly Girl is a gorgeous deep red shade. If you want to see it on it’s own, head over to my Instagram to see a photo later today!
Since then, I’ve purchased another lip color: Fire and Ice, which is a great every day shade:

I reapplied my gloss once today, around lunchtime and haven’t touched my lips since.
Lip colors cost $25 but should last you a really long time considering you’re just applying them once a day! The gloss is $20, but should also last you quite a while! I think if you buy through a distributor there are sometimes special deals where you can get the color, gloss and remover (which I don’t use) at a special price, so that might be worth looking into.
Some basics:
What it is: Lip color that you apply in three layers that lasts for up to 18 hours of wear.
Cost: $25 for lip colors, $20 for gloss, $10 for the remover
Is the Gloss a Must: Yes, the lip color on it’s own is super dry feeling and you won’t like it on it’s own.
Is the Remover a Must: No, but I haven’t actually tried it to know if it’s that much easier to use. I’ve used coconut oil, makeup wipes, or even toothpaste to remove it.
Do I really love it and use it: Yes. I definitely still use other lip colors too but on days where I don’t want to be constantly reapplying or worrying if my lipstick has smudged I always reach for it.
Have you tried Lipsense by SeneGence? If so, what shades do you own?

I have Fire and Ice and Roseberry. Amazing even for the more advanced in years.
Stop, that is awesome! I’ve heard about Lipsense but I’ve sort of rolled my eyes and ignored it because what can last that long looking that good!? I’m going to have to order some now.
