The Golden Globes have just happened/are happening now, so it’s officially awards season! While I really don’t care much for the awards themselves, I always try to catch the red carpet! And I can’t have a fashion blog without a red carpet recap, right? Ready for photo overload? Let’s do this.
Kerry Washington is always a stunner, though I did think this looked prettier on stage when she presented than it photographed. I’m pretty confused on the shoe choice, but to each their own?
Keira Knightley loves her some Chanel, and Chanel seems to like her back. Probably not my first choice for myself, but I think she did a great job of dressing her baby bump.
Jessica Chastain will probably make some best dressed lists with this Versace gown (though it’s not one of my favorites this year). Isn’t her hair amazing?
This is probably sad (for me), but every time I start to feel bad about getting older I remind myself that Jennifer Aniston is 45 and still killing it.
And then I remember Helen Mirren is 69, so there’s still hope further down the road. Good grief she’s pretty!
I think my award for least conventional but still gorgeous would definitely to to Emma Stone in this look by Lanvin. And her hair is awesome. And I just kind of want to be friends with her in real life.
Diane Kruger is beautiful (like always).
I really like this Chanel Haute Couture dress that Dakota Johnson wore. I feel like it would be one of those dresses that’s really fun to wear.
And another that’s probably fun to wear, this Valentino gown on Claire Daines. (Though I don’t really love it.)
You’ve got to love a tulle gown for the red carpet. This isn’t my favorite color on Anna Kendrick, but as long as she loves it, that’s what matters!
Allison Williams looks lovely in red sparkly Armani Prive.
And I think Reese Witherspoon looks ridiculously gorgeous in Calvin Klein Collection. Plus, that hair is sooo pretty.
Quvenzhané Wallis is perfectly lovely in this Armani gown. I imagine we will be seeing her on the red carpet a lot over the years!
I was really excited to see what Lupita Nyong’o wore this year (she killed the red carpet last year) and was pleased with this Giambattista Valli dress (though I still loved last year’s dress more than just about anything ever).
I adore this dress on Amy Adams. She’s usually a winner on the red carpet and it’s no different this year.
I was also really curious to see what Amal Alamuddin Clooney wore and she looks gorgeous and the picture of class, just as expected.
And my favorite for the evening would probably have to be Julianne Moore in Givenchy Haute Couture.
