Still having fun revisiting my Real Girls, Real Style series! Today let’s take a look back at Angie’s style! This was originally published February 4, 2015 – hard to believe it’s almost been two years! I imagine Angie’s style has changed quite a bit since then!
Originally from Kansas, I actually consider myself an Okie having spent many formative years there. Currently my husband Daniel and I live in Abilene, Texas while he finishes a degree here. I work with missionaries at ACU and love being able to meet people from all over the world. When it comes to shopping, I could spend hours at Anthropologie, Target and online at www.beeskneesloft.com where I find unique pieces. I love designing my home and am drawn to a more natural, earthy style, so places like West Elm and Terrain really speak to me. My husband and I are both writers, we love photography and travel, the OKC Thunder, we can’t get enough of British television, and we have an endless love for great music; he’s the talented performer, I’m the talented groupie. It’s a real group effort.
1. What was the last item of clothing you purchased?
GAP 1969 Always Skinny jeans. Classic, perfect fit. I wear the heck outta them.
2. What is your favorite item in your closet?
Love my TOMs Suede Desert Wedges in taupe. They’re a great neutral so the versatility can “chic up” almost any outfit.
3. What trend do you just not get?
Have to say, I hate neon. I don’t want the 80s to come back; I spent long enough running from that decade. …unless I find a cool t-shirt tie or something.
4. What’s on your shopping list?
5. Where would you go on a dream shopping spree?
I’m going to Saks. And Tiffany. And H&M [read: anywhere in Europe]. Plus Manolo Blahnik. …and, c’mon, probably Target. #realtalk
Outfit of Choice:
When it’s cold, all I want to do is wear tights, tunics and knee boots all the live-long day. Throw on a long cardigan, infinity scarf, big leather bag, and great sunglasses, and I’ll be your huckleberry from now until eternity.
Also, seriously Blake Lively? Do you HAVE to be that gorgeous all the time?
Here’s a true story: I always want to be wearing jeans (or something comfortable) that looks cute, but not super dressy. For me, denim and a cute top is always the dream. (Unless I’m binge-watching House of Cards on Netflix. Then I’m wearing sweats and a hoodie. Let’s be real.)
